The call to action of this global event reads:
Jina’s name became a sign, a sign to outcry: “Woman, Life, Freedom”.
Jina (Mahsa) Amini was murdered, Jina’s body is a living wound of entangled discriminations, a wound on my body, on ours. An open wound on the body of the street.
The streets of Iran turned into a stage for the struggles of women* and the people’s pursuit of justice and freedom.
On Sunday 2 October 2022 we also gather on the streets of our cities to use our collective creativity in echoing the voice of the feminist movement and the other oppressed people of Iran.
